There are many articles and videos of interview with Jake Gyllenhaal!!

Where many child/teen actors crash and burn, Gyllenhaal came out of adolescence unseathed, both personally and professionally (as did his older sisster Maggie, who also started performing as a teen).
what was the secret to his success?
"I think I made choices that were based on what I believe were interesting and not what other people were telling me what a teennager should be going through," he says. "They were a little trippier and maybe a little darker than what is generally interpreted as adolescent. And maybe those choices were also a little more honest."

多くの子役や１０代の俳優は壊れやすい。ジレンホールは横道にそれる事無く思春期を抜けられた。個人的にもプロとしても。（同じようにかれの姉も１０代から俳優になっている。）
その秘訣は何なのか?
「僕が思うのは、自分の選択のよりどころは自分の関心を信じる事で、人が何を言うかではない。
１０代はこうすべきとかね。」彼は言う。「思春期に対する一般的な解釈は、躓きやすいとか、暗くなりがちとかだけど。僕の選択はもうちょっと正直だったと思う。」
