Jake Gyllenhaal and his manager Evelyn O'Neill have been in company for 8 years.
It means that they have a lot of works together, including The Day After Tomorrow, Brokeback Mountain, Jarhead, Zodiac, Brothers, Prince of Persia, Love and Other Drugs, and Source Code, and upcoming film End of Watch.

I was very surprised at this news, and I felt uneasy a bit with Jake's future.
Because, I want to see Jake's movies more and more in future. It's a most delightful thing to see an essence of Jake on big screen to me. I really trust his choises always.
But it's a his own decision. No one can complain to the things he does.
We don't know that Jake needs a time to take a break or he is not able to find a script which satisfies him fully. We can only wait for his next film patiently. We just hope Jake gets what he wants. We do believe that he can make it all right. That's what Gyllenhaalics are for. I think.

だって、これからも、もっともっとジェイクの映画を観て行きたいからね。ほんとに彼の選ぶ作品には絶対の信頼を寄せてる。彼の役柄の中に彼の本質が見て取れる時が私にとっての至福の時。
でも、これは彼自身が決める事だし、だれもとやかく言えないと思う。
ジェイクがいま休憩を必要としているのか、彼を満足させる台本が見つからないのかは私達には解らない。
ただひたすら辛抱強く待つのみ!ジェイクが望む物を得られる事を祈るのみ！彼ならやり遂げると信じる。これがジレンホーリックってもんでしょ。
